U17, U19 age categories boys and girls.

Each affiliate member has the option of fielding both boys and girls’ teams or single gender

5 – 7 v 7, the U15 (9 v 9) and U17 & U19 (11 v 11).

All teams play each other in the group twice home & away, playing 22 inter-group fixtures,
producing 264 games a season in each division. Two teams are promoted, and two teams are
relegated at the end of the season. The winners in each state enter the playoffs, which is a straight knockout format to determine the national Champions.

Fixtures & Results – Explanation of how results are shared

Tables & Standings – How teams are ranked

Teams in the league are ranked based on points earned, with variations in tie-breaking
procedures. Generally, teams are awarded points for wins and draws (sometimes ties), and the
team with the most points is ranked first. If teams have the same number of points, goal
difference (goals scored minus goals conceded) is usually the next determining factor. If goal
difference is also tied, the number of goals scored is considered. Further tie-breaking criteria
might include head-to-head results between tied teams or disciplinary record or a play-off.
1. Points:
• Wins award 3 points and draws award 1 point.
• The team with the highest number of points is ranked highest.

2. Goal Difference:
If two or more teams have the same number of points, the team with the better goal difference
(goals scored minus goals conceded) is ranked higher.

3. Goals Scored:
• If goal difference is tied, the team that has scored more goals is ranked higher.

4. Head-to-Head Results:
• If teams are still tied after considering points, goal difference, and goals scored, the results of matches played between the tied teams are examined.
• The team with the better head-to-head record (more wins, points, goal difference, etc in those matches) is ranked higher.

5. Further Tiebreakers (if needed):
• The league may have additional tiebreakers, such as:
– Away goals scored in head-to-head matches.
– Number of wins overall.
– Number of away wins.

6. Disciplinary Record:
• If all other tiebreakers are exhausted, teams may be ranked on disciplinary record such as number yellow/red cards and fines during the season.
